"Emergency response in crisis areas"

People in Peril civic association was established in 1999 in a response to the humanitarian crisis caused by the military conflict in Kosovo. We have since responded to a number of conflicts (Balkans, Chechnya, Iraq, Middle East, Georgia) and natural disasters (floods in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the South East Asia tsunami, earthquakes in Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia and Haiti, cyclone in Burma).

We raise funds from public and private companies. Donations allow us to address humanitarian needs in the affected regions. Broad public is informed through media about our activities on the ground. Our long term goal is to provide effective, specific and targeted aid. Local conditions allowing,  we carry out needs assessment in the crisis area and design our emergency response in coperation with partner organisations.
