Thanks to the support of various Slovak and foreign institutions, organizations, companies, individual donors as well as our staff and volunteers, during 10 years we have been able to help thousands of people in 20 countries of the world. Why support us? The basic principles of our work are direct aid and effective using of financial means. People in Peril is a small organization, that allows us to react in a flexible way on the occured conflicts and catastrophes, and to decide quickly about the options of aid. Our organizational structure is simple. Therefore, we are not subject to excessive bureaucracy, which tends to slow down decision proccess. We are the only responsible to decide how to use the financial means. In case of humanitarian catastrophes, on the basis of the criteria of maximum effectiveness, we decide whether our people travel to a crisis area or we coordinate our activities with an international partner, already present in the area. In both cases, we collaborate with a local partner when using the funds on a concrete project in a concrete town/ region. In case of using the funds from a public collection, we strive to minimize our expenses for the collection administration up to 10 % of the raised funds. There are several ways how to support us:
