TWIN SCHOOL project interconnects schools

The project, carried out in cooperation with Afghan schools, presents an opportunity for Slovak pupils and teachers to come into contact with schools in Afghanistan and to get to know this remote country better. In the end of April, a study trip of two Slovak teachers to Afghanistan took place, with interactive workshops organized for Afghan teachers and pupils. Humanitarian and post-humanitarian aid to Haiti

People in Peril Association launched a public donantion campaign for earthquake victims in Haiti on January 13, 2010. The first part of the raised money, in an amount of 25 000 EUR, was used for urgent humanitarian aid. The main part of the finances will cover a long-term post-humanitarian programme.

The PIPA field mission to Haiti was launched on March 12, 2010. After two weeks of a thorough field assessment in the areas of Leogane and Petit Goave, the mission presented a plan of activities to be carried out in the areas most affected by the earthquake during the period lasting from March to October 2010. We signed the Code of conduct on images and messages

When working as well as when informing the public about our humanitarian and development activities, we respect ethical principles.In April 2010, we signed the Code of conduct on images and messages, drafted by the CONCORD NGO confederation and adopted by the Slovak NGDO Platform.
