Humanitarian and post-humanitarian aid to Haiti

Ondeková, Haiti, March 2010: Meeting of PIPA staff with local people in LafferonayApril 15, 2010 - People in Peril Association launched a public donation campaign for earthquake victims in Haiti on January 13, 2010. The first part of the raised money, in an amount of 25 000 EUR, was used for urgent humanitarian aid. The main part of the finances covers a long-term post-humanitarian programme. The PIPA field mission to Haiti was launched on March 12, 2010. After two weeks of a thorough field assessment in the areas of Leogane and Petit Goave, the mission started to carry out a series of activities in the areas most affected by the earthquake.Read more
