She firstly joined PIPA as a consultant for HR.  In January 2011 was nominated to Executive director position. In parallel she works as consultant and coach. In the past she was working for several international companies, captured experiences in area HR, finance, council and regional development both in profit and non-profit segment in Czech Republic and Slovakia. She is acting several years in area of HR development; in cooperation with international consulting group she is participating on development of specific products for international and local companies especially in area team and management evaluation and coaching. She graduated at University of Economics at Bratislava and fluently speaks English.

Finished Faculty of Humanistic Studies in Trnava University, the study of sociology. Worked  in non-profit civil society association Mother Center (2004-2009) as vice president, coordinator of educations project for mothers, organizator of evants for public and daily program. PR Executive of PIPA since September 2011. Working knowledge of English and German.

Humanitarian and Development Projects

Studied at the Development Studies Centre in Ireland and at the London School of Economics and Political Science in Great Britain. Head of PIPA Field Mission in Afghanistan in 2005-2006 and coordinator of humanitarian assistance in Pakistan after the earthquake in 2005. Focuses on the area of civil society and community development, and gender aspects in development aid in the countries of Asia and Latin America. Fluent in English and Spanish, working knowledge of Russian.

Finished MA in Political Science at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and MSc in NGOs and Development at London School of Economics and Political Science. After having finished volunteer placement and internship in both Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire, Tomas started working for PIPA in June 2010. His core professional area is the managment of projects in Africa, his region of expertise, but also participates in the humanitarian projects. Fluent in English, German and French.

Finished Faculty of Economics of the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica. Worked in the sector of tourism, since 2007 has collaborated with the SAVIO association as a volunteer on development education workshops and projects. After having finished volunteer placement in both Ukraine and Kenya, Maria started working for PIPA in October 2010, participating in the humanitarian projects. Fluent in English and German.

Finished Faculty of Economics of the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica. Worked as an internal auditor in the international student organization AIESEC, later as a Head of Finance Department in an international company. PIPA field worker in Kenya since October 2008, coordinating a micro-credit project which is to support the business skills of the rural women. Fluent in English and German.

Matus Buran - Field Worker, Afghanistan (Project of Support to Rural Communities of Afghanistan)

Graduated at the University of Economics in Bratislava. Worked at the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, later went as a volunteer to India to work on the project of prevention and treatment of TBC. In summer 2009, he took part in a PIPA humanitarian training followed by 6 week internship in Afghanistan. PIPA field worker in Afghanistan since June 2010, coordinating project of support to rural communities. Fluent in English..

Lukas has a master degree in geography and ecology. After spending one year as a volunteer in an environmental centre in Wales (UK), he worked intensively on developing environmental education programs, which he was able to practically apply through environmental NGO Pangaea of which he was a cofounding member. In 2010 he obtained a PhD degree in landscape protection and utilisation and has attended many international courses meanwhile. At the university, he taught global ecology, climatology and environmental ethics and philosophy. Since January 2011 he works in Kenya for People in Peril Association on food security project.

Human Rights Support

Finished University of Economics in Bratislava. Dealing with the development of civil society, worked in the organizations SAIA and Civil Society Development Foundation. Director of People in Peril Association from 2002 to 2008, with expertise mainly in the field of humanitarian and post- humanitarian interventions. Responsible for co-ordination of the festival team and dramaturgy of One World Human Rights Documentary Film Festival since 2002. Fluent in English and German, working knowledge of Spanish. Gratuated in Business and Marketing at the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Economics in Bratislava. Few months after her graduation, in August 2007, she left for one-year educational internship to Colombia. She has worked with PIPA since February 2009, managing the projects in Cuba and Serbia. Speaks fluent English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of German.

Finished Faculty of Law at the Masaryk University in Brno. He joined PIPA as a volunteer of humanitarian program in Slovakia SOS Floods 2010. At the moment he coordinates One World – international documentary festival

Global Education at Slovakia

Graduated in History and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2004 volunteered in Tanzania in the frame of European project GLEN and worked as a tutor in GLEN next two years. Since September 2005 he has worked with PIPA as coordinator and methodologist of the global education projects. Head of the PIPA education department with focus on trainings and seminars for the teachers and youth leaders. Author and co-author of several methodological toolkits for the schools. Fluent in English and Polish.

Graduated in Social Pedagogy and English and German Language Teaching at the Faculty of Education, Comenius University in Bratislava, and from the course of studies "Economy. Politics. Civic Society. A Development Area for Social Responsibility" at the Catholic Social Academy of Austria in Vienna. Between 2005 and 2008, worked as the Coordinator for Education and International Cooperation in The Society of Friends of Children from Children's Homes Smile as a Gift. Lubica joined PIPA in March 2009 as a project manager, coordinating the international Global Action Schools 2 Communities project. Fluent in English and German, with basic knowledge of Spanish.

Graduated in English and Philosophy at the Comenius University in Bratislava, where currently continues in her PhD. studies at the Department of Philosophy. Before joining the team of People in Peril as a coordinator of film clubs of an international project One World at Schools - Watch and Change, she used to work as a voluntary worker and later on as a lecturer and coordinator of the Human Rights Education programme with Amnesty International. She can speak English and German, as well as French.

Graduated in Geography, departted department of Regional Geography and European integration at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava. He joined PIPA in March 2011 as a coordinator of the Film Clubs project. He is founder and organizator of street futball league ESSL. He is volunteer of Zouth Philantrophy Team YoungBa. Working knowledge of English and German.

Completes the study of political science at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. She worked as a lecturer and coordinator of the project Human Rights Education in Amnesty International Slovakia. In free time coordinating student film club Watch&Think in Trnava.

She joined PIPA as a volunteer worker, currently working in the Department of Global Education.

Financial Department

Finished Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics in Bratislava. He has worked with PIPA since March 2006, first as a project manager for projects in Kosovo, later as an accountant. Financial manager of PIPA since January 2008.
